Networks get built twice.Once on paper, once in the field.
Twenty years planning and delivering telecom networks and projects. This is where I keep the working notes — radio planning, project execution, and step-by-step guides for the work itself.
What I write about
Refreshed daily
Telecom
Coverage and capacity planning, link budgets, drive tests and optimisation — 5G and 6G in plain terms, and step-by-step guides for the telecom tasks I run at work.
- Building a link budget you can defend in review
- Network slicing explained without the marketing
- The site survey checklist I rebuilt after a bad week
HowTo · Build
How I build the things outside the job — this website, small automations, side projects — written so you can follow along and build the same thing yourself.
- How I built this site on WordPress, step by step
- Automating a daily learning post from a Google Sheet
- The tools I actually use, and what each one costs
IoT
Working through what I learned on the IIT Kharagpur (NPTEL) IoT course — LPWAN choices, MQTT payloads, provisioning and power budgets — written up as study notes from a telecom planner's angle.
- NB-IoT or LoRaWAN: choosing by coverage, not spec sheet
- Designing MQTT payloads you won't have to migrate
- What the NPTEL IoT course actually covers, module by module
Project management
Project management as it actually plays out on telecom work — schedules, risk, cost and stakeholders on live rollouts — and how you can apply the same thinking to your own projects.
- Earned value on a project that keeps changing scope
- A 10-week PMP study plan around a full-time job
- The RACI I actually use on a rollout
AI to AGI
My own learning journey from today's AI to the idea of AGI — what I'm reading, testing and slowly understanding, written up as I go rather than after the fact.
- How I am actually learning AI, month by month
- Putting an AI agent on a task I used to do manually
- The road from today’s models to AGI, as I understand it
Companion site
SaiWisdoma Tech-Shelf
The tools, books and courses I actually use, kept in one place so the posts can stay about the work. Every entry says who it's for and where it falls short.

I'm Pranab Hazarika. Twenty years in telecom radio planning and project management, across four of the largest telecom companies — planning networks, running the projects that deliver them, and being on the call when the field doesn't match the design document.
I wrote RF Planning, an Amazon bestseller, and Smartest Way to Clear PMP. I'm also co-founder of SaiWisdoma, a platform for self-transformation engineering.
Still learning, which is most of what this site is about.
